Seed bead weight calculator: beads per gram and grams per project

The calculator divides bead count by an approximate beads-per-gram value for the selected brand and size. Reverse conversion multiplies grams by the same value. You can replace the reference value with your own measured beads per gram. Coatings, glass composition, batches, and finishes can change the actual weight, so weigh a sample for precise orders.

At approximately 91 beads per gram, 1,000 Preciosa 10/0 round seed beads weigh about 11 grams. A 10 g pack contains roughly 910 beads.

It depends on the brand and shape. Our reference values are about 130 Preciosa 11/0 rocailles, 200 Miyuki Delica 11/0 cylinders, 110 Miyuki Round 11/0 beads, or 110 TOHO Round 11/0 beads per gram.

No. Manufacturer figures are approximate; finishes, lots, and individual beads vary. Add a little extra for breakage and check a weighed sample before purchasing large quantities.
